Le nombre de stations dont dispose ledit r\u00e9seau a \u00e9t\u00e9 revu par un Arr\u00eat\u00e9 du Ministre des Transports portant r\u00e9am\u00e9nagement des structures de collecte des donn\u00e9es m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques le 05 Juin 1995. Actuellement, le r\u00e9seau compte 58 stations m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques dont 54 seulement sont effectivement en activit\u00e9. Lesdites stations sont toutes dot\u00e9es de personnels m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques qualifi\u00e9s et jeunes. Ces \u00e9l\u00e9ments masquent en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 les difficult\u00e9s majeures du r\u00e9seau m\u00e9t\u00e9orologique du Cameroun que sont, le manque d\u2019infrastructures, d\u2019\u00e9quipements, et l\u2019absence des qualifications sp\u00e9cifiques dans divers domaines. Des projets sont en cours de maturation \u00e0 cet effet.<br \/>\nCes cinq (05) derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, la Direction de la M\u00e9t\u00e9orologie nationale (DMN) du Cameroun s\u2019est dot\u00e9e de plusieurs \u00e9quipements m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques afin de booster les capacit\u00e9s de son r\u00e9seau de collecte de donn\u00e9es m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques.<br \/>\nOn compte en effet 58 stations m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques dont 54 sont fonctionnelles, 04 non fonctionnelles. En termes d\u2019\u00e9quipement, la DMN compte 32 stations m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques automatiques dont 06 sont fonctionnelles et op\u00e9rationnelles (06 SMA pulsonic). De m\u00eame, il existe 97 postes pluviom\u00e9triques op\u00e9rationnels, dont tous sont manuels.<br \/>\nEn outre, il faut pr\u00e9ciser qu\u2019une station de radiosondage a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9galement install\u00e9e \u00e0 la station m\u00e9t\u00e9orologique de Yaound\u00e9-ville en 2022.
