Leur pr\u00e9sence t\u00e9moigne de l\u2019engagement du pays \u00e0 contribuer aux efforts continentaux visant \u00e0 renforcer la r\u00e9silience face aux ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques extr\u00eames et aux impacts du changement climatique.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1385\" data-end=\"1455\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5304 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/meteocameroon.gov.cm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-05-20-at-18.50.00-300x200.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/h2>\n<h2 data-start=\"1385\" data-end=\"1455\">Une initiative au service de l\u2019anticipation des risques climatiques<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1457\" data-end=\"1863\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5305 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/meteocameroon.gov.cm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-05-20-at-18.55.04-300x200.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>D\u00e9velopp\u00e9e dans le cadre de la composante 2 du projet SEWA, l\u2019initiative AMSAF vise \u00e0 renforcer les capacit\u00e9s des institutions africaines dans la production et l\u2019exploitation des donn\u00e9es satellitaires m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques. L\u2019objectif est de permettre aux centres m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques africains d\u2019am\u00e9liorer les services de pr\u00e9vision imm\u00e9diate (nowcasting) et les syst\u00e8mes d\u2019alerte pr\u00e9coce au b\u00e9n\u00e9fice des populations.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1865\" data-end=\"2171\">Face \u00e0 la multiplication des \u00e9v\u00e9nements m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques extr\u00eames sur le continent \u2014 fortes pluies, inondations, vagues de chaleur ou s\u00e9cheresses \u2014 les outils d\u2019observation satellitaire apparaissent aujourd\u2019hui comme des leviers essentiels pour anticiper les risques et prot\u00e9ger les communaut\u00e9s vuln\u00e9rables.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2173\" data-end=\"2538\">Au cours des travaux, les participants ont \u00e9chang\u00e9 sur les approches techniques, op\u00e9rationnelles et institutionnelles n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 l\u2019op\u00e9rationnalisation d\u2019AMSAF. Les discussions ont \u00e9galement port\u00e9 sur les synergies \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper avec d\u2019autres initiatives africaines et internationales telles que AMHEWAS et le programme mondial \u00ab Early Warnings for All \u00bb (EW4All).<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"2540\" data-end=\"2609\">Une forte mobilisation des partenaires africains et internationaux<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"2611\" data-end=\"3263\">L\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement a rassembl\u00e9 plusieurs institutions de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence dans les domaines de la m\u00e9t\u00e9orologie, du climat, de la gestion des risques de catastrophes et des technologies spatiales. Parmi les participants figuraient notamment la Commission de l\u2019Union Africaine, ACMAD, les Centres M\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques R\u00e9gionaux Sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s (RSMCs), les Centres Climatiques R\u00e9gionaux africains (RCCs), les Communaut\u00e9s \u00c9conomiques R\u00e9gionales africaines, l\u2019Organisation M\u00e9t\u00e9orologique Mondiale (OMM), EUMETSAT, le Centre Europ\u00e9en pour les Pr\u00e9visions M\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques \u00e0 Moyen Terme (ECMWF), l\u2019UNDRR, l\u2019Agence Spatiale Africaine ainsi que les repr\u00e9sentants de l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3265\" data-end=\"3453\">Les travaux ont permis d\u2019identifier les besoins prioritaires des centres AMSAF, de d\u00e9finir les premiers axes d\u2019intervention ainsi que les futurs m\u00e9canismes de gouvernance de la plateforme.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"3455\" data-end=\"3490\">Vers une Afrique plus r\u00e9siliente<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"3492\" data-end=\"3902\">Le lancement d\u2019AMSAF marque une avanc\u00e9e majeure dans la modernisation des services m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques africains et dans le d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019outils adapt\u00e9s aux r\u00e9alit\u00e9s climatiques du continent.
