During the first dekad of March, moderate to heavy rains are very likely in the South West region and in parts of the North West, West, Littoral and South regions. Also, light to moderate rainfall will be expected over parts of North West, West, Littoral, Central, South and East regions with cumulative rainfall amounts ranging from 10 to 30mm. The actual start of the rainy season may be predominantly late in most of the southern parts of the country. However, an average to late start can be expected in the central, western and eastern regions, particularly in Yaoundé, Bafoussam and Bertoua. Also, some localities in the southern region are likely to receive early rains, notably in Ambam. The first and second weeks of March 2023 will be marked by widespread rainfall in the southern regions, which may reach the northern region in the third week. This will be followed by the dry sequence from the fourth week of March. For more details, please consult the entire decadal climate bulletin N°07.
