National Advanced School of Engineering, Maroua
The National Polytechnic School of Maroua, formerly ISS (Institut Supérieur du Sahel) is one of the institutions of the University of Maroua. It trains in many fields of engineering including Meteorology.
Admission to the ENSPM is mainly by competitive examination (1st year, 3rd year and 4th year); most of the courses require a bachelor's degree in science.
However, the recruitment of candidates for education and operational training courses is mostly organized by the Director of the ENSPM and is done on the based on a case study.
The school has more than 80 qualified and experienced teachers in the different fields. The Department of Meteorology, Climatology, Hydrology and Pedology (MCHP) is located in the town of Kousseri, away from the main site in Maroua.
